2008 Presidential Campaigns and the Internet Essay
In fairly recent times the Internet has gained vast importance for the dissemination of information to the public.à The numbers of users on the Internet have grown exponentially throughout the years.à Presidential candidates have always recognized this fact and have procured websites to establish their viewpoints and positions on issues as well as ask for donations.à An evaluation of the John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama website will demonstrate how the candidates react to their beliefs in how the public consumes information. à à à à à à à à à à à John McCainââ¬â¢s website is the first to be investigated.à His website is mainly around to cater to his core voters of the Republican Party, but no doubt he is also attempting to appeal to all American citizens.à The first thing a person will notice from McCainââ¬â¢s website is that once you initially travel to his webpage it will first go to an introduction page asking viewers to join his email group as well as a button to donate money to his campaign.à The website does not start out with positions on issues or contain endorsements etc.à It appears McCainââ¬â¢s ultimate goal at the start is to solicit money to further his campaign.à This introduction page shows an image of John McCain in black and white with a black background, and does not contain any images or colors of the United States. (http://www.johnmccain.com/landing/?sid=gorganic) This aspect of the website is peculiar because it introduces a solicitation right from the start.à It could make some readers of the site not want to endorse McCain, especially readers that have ventured to his site in order to learn more about his positions.à At the bottom of the donation page there is a small link that asks whether or not the reader wants to go to the actual John McCain website.à Once a reader of the site clicks on this link then the real presidential website begins to form.à McCainââ¬â¢s main site has three items of note.à First, there is a video link that summarizes McCainââ¬â¢s torture and imprisonment in a POW camp, and the video is called ââ¬Å"Courageous Service.â⬠(http://www.johnmccain.com/)à Three other links to the website are on this part of the page called ââ¬Å"About John McCain,â⬠ââ¬Å"Why John McCain,â⬠and ââ¬Å"On the Issues.â⬠(http://www.johnmccain.com/) These sections are a good addition to the website because it allows an investigation into the person, why he should be president, and his stand on the issues.à The reader does not have to search through the site to find a particular campaign issue or information about McCain.à It is all separated and easy to identify.à A section of rotating pictures is on this portion of the site as well that gives insight into campaign activities.à An important aspect of the website is that McCain included a petition for the housing crisis. The petition is little more than a show of support for McCain in dealing with the housing crisis instead of what a reader would think as a real petition to enact some type of legislation. (http://www.johnmccain.com/involving/petition.aspx?guid=cf43f8ff-0854-4735-8346-9e4d07582474)à McCainââ¬â¢s presidential campaign website shows his trials and tribulations as well as his strong points throughout.à It establishes what many would see as a strong man that sticks by his beliefs on issues and does not waiver in the face of dissension.à Altogether the website effectively establishes what McCain undoubtedly attempted to present to the public. à à à à à à à à à à à Hillary Clintonââ¬â¢s website is similar to McCainââ¬â¢s in that it initially starts off with a donation page that appears to be separate from her main page. (https://contribute.hillaryclinton.com/donate-b.html?sc=a724)à However, Clintonââ¬â¢s donation page is different from McCainââ¬â¢s because it plays a video of her support and numerous members of a crowd cheering her name.à Unlike McCain, Clintonââ¬â¢s donation page and the rest of her main site is not dark, but is a light shade of blue. (http://www.hillaryclinton.com/splash/)à Once a reader clicks to her main site, they are met with another page that is asking the person to join her campaign as a member.à This appears to be the entire composition of her website, which is a little disappointing.à A prospective voter cannot visit her site and learn about her message or positions on issues. A viewer may overlook yet another link that will send the reader to the main site. (http://www.hillaryclinton.com/splash/)à On the main site it seems as though Clinton is concerned about winning the Texas delegation. (http://www.hillaryclinton.com/?splash=1) A logo pleads with the reader to help her win the state.à A spotlight section on the main site lists events such as winning a chance to meet Clinton and Elton John, veteransââ¬â¢ affairs, and an opinion from Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin.à A little section titled ââ¬Å"The Hillary I knowâ⬠will show some of her positions on issues, but the logo for the link is very small and is not a major part of the page.à This is in stark contrast to the organized sections of the McCain site.à Clintonââ¬â¢s site is more appealing to the eye, but it lacks the substance that McCainââ¬â¢s website contains. à à à à à à à à à à à Barack Obamaââ¬â¢s presidential website has the same introduction page as the other two, but this time Obama speaks directly to the visitor instead of showing some campaign activities.à In order to navigate Obamaââ¬â¢s site, a user is required to register, however a reader can circumvent the registration process by merely typing in his main site and then visiting the sections on issues, learning about the candidate, etc. (http://my.barackobama.com/page/user/login?successurl=L3BhZ2UvZGFzaGJvYXJkL3ByaXZhdGU) This is a horrible concept for a website because it immediately will turn visitors away by making them think they need to register in order to learn more about the candidate.à Obamaââ¬â¢s website is also in a light shade of blue similar to Clintonââ¬â¢s and offers many instances for a visitor to view videos and photos like the other campaign sites.à However, it appears that Obamaââ¬â¢s website has the least amount of information available to a prospective voter, and thus is probably the worst website out of the three discussed. Enzyme Activity Ia Essays Enzyme Activity Ia Essay Enzyme Activity Ia Essay Year 11 IB Biology IA Report 2011 5/31/2011 Enzyme Activity Experiment Introduction3 AIM3 Materials3 Method4 Result5 Table 1:5 Table 2:5 Graph 16 Discussion6 Conclusion8 Bibliography9 Appendix 1 (Test tube 3- 45 degrees)9 Appendix 2 (Test tube 1- 5 degrees)9 Appendix 3 (Test tube 2- 20 degrees)9 Introduction Phenolphthalein is an indicator that is pink in alkaline solutions of about pH10. When the pH drops below pH 8. 3 phenolphthalein will go colourless. Here, an alkaline solution of milk, lipase and phenolphthalein will change from pink to colourless as the fat in milk is broken down to form fatty acids (and glycerol) thus reducing the pH to below 8. 3. The time taken for this reaction to occur is affected by temperature. AIM To investigate the effects of increasing temperature on the activity of enzyme Lipase. Materials * Milk, full-fat or semi-skimmed, 5 cm3 per student per temperature assessed * Phenolphthalein in a dropper bottle (see note 1) * 5% lipase solution, 1 cm3 per student per temperature assessed * Sodium carbonate solution, 0. 05 mol dm-3, 7 cm3 per student per temperature assessed * Electric hot water baths set to a range of temperatures, each containing a thermometer, a test-tube rack and a beaker of lipase solution. * Ice * Marker pen * Test tube rack * Measuring cylinder (or syringe), 10 cm3, 2 * Beaker, 100 cm3, 2 (for milk and sodium carbonate solution) * Beaker, 250 cm3, 2 (to act as water baths for temperatures below room temperature) * Thermometer * Test tube * Glass rod * Syringe, 2 cm3 * Stop clock/stopwatch Method 1. Label a test tube with the temperature to be investigated. 2. Add 5 drops of phenolphthalein to the test tube. 3. Measure out 5 cm3 of milk using a measuring cylinder (or syringe) and add this to the test tube. 4. Measure out 7 cm3 of sodium carbonate solution using another measuring cylinder (or syringe) and add this to the test tube. The solution should be pink. 5. Place a thermometer in the test tube. Take care as the equipment could topple over. 6. Place the test tube in a water bath and leave until the contents reach the same temperature as the water bath. . Remove the thermometer from the test tube and replace it with a glass rod. 8. Use the 2 cm3 syringe to measure out 1 cm3 of lipase from the beaker in the water bath for the temperature you are investigating. 9. Add the lipase to the test tube and start the stopclock/ stopwatch. 10. Stir the contents of the test tube until the solution loses its pink colour. 11. Stop the clock/ watch and note the time in a suitable table of r esults. Through this report, the aim is to investigate the effect of increasing temperature on the activity of the enzyme lipase. The data of the experiment results showed that the sample [Test tube 1] in five degrees took around 31 minutes and 04 seconds to turns into light pink, but the testing wasnââ¬â¢t complete, as the test tube was break down before it completed, but record from another groupââ¬â¢s result, it took around 50 minutes for the sample to completely turn white. (Result from Suminââ¬â¢s group). The sample [Test tube 2] in 20 degrees took around 16 minutes and 26 seconds to complete the reaction and completely turned white. The sample [Test tube 3] took around 2 minutes and 09 seconds to complete the reaction and this sample took the shortest time to complete the reaction. The sample [Test tube 4] took around 32 minutes and 21 seconds to turn into very light pink (White with pink), but it didnââ¬â¢t complete the reaction as the time was run out. As the result, it shows that the temperature between 20 to 45 degrees is the best environment for the fat in milk to broken down to fatty acids and glycerol thus reducing the pH to below 8. and the taken time will increase if the temperature is over 45 degrees and the lipase might not break down the fat in milk or not work at all. The temperature affected the action of the fat breaks down to fatty acids and glycerol (lipase) in this way because when the temperature increase and then the time taken for the reaction will also increase by increase the collision rate between the substrate molecules and enzymes. The fastest time for the reaction is at the suitable and advantageous temperature for the enzymes which is between 20 to 45 degrees (à ± 5 degrees). The time taken for the reaction will decrease from 5 degrees to 45 degrees, but the time will increase since the temperature is reach and over 45 degrees, as the protein structure of the enzyme will denatured by the high temperature and the enzyme is de-activated and the molecule is lose its shape. (University of Maryland Medical Center, 2009) Recording from the experiment result, the best temperature for the fat in milk breaks down to fatty acids and glycerol is between 20 to 45 degrees and it might not work really well when the temperature is over 45 degrees. On another hand, there are some weaknesses need to be improve in the experiment. Firstly, the water temperature for the Test tubes to stay in was under/ over the temperature that was suggest in the experiment as the temperature of the water was hard to control as the exactly temperature that the instruction suggested, so the group was recommend that a member from the group needs to add extra hot water/ extra ice when the temperature of the water is under/ over the temperature recommended. Secondly, the group set up and put all the test samples in the test tube at the beginning of the experiment and suddenly left the samples in the room temperature for almost 10 minutes before the group start the experiment; therefore, the results from the experiment might be wrong as the solution in the test tube might affects the lipase during the break time. As the result, the group suggest to mix up the solution and the test samples before the experiment starts, and the break time gap is not allowed. Thirdly, the syringe wasnââ¬â¢t used to measure out the lipase, so the group chose to restart the experiment as the results may have changed. However, after restarting the experiment as a whole, the experiment was a lot more successful and there was more care. Finally, these improvements will be use as a reference in the next class experiment. Conclusion In conclusion, the results from the experiment shown that the best temperature for the fat in milk to break down to fatty acids and glycerol is 45 degrees and the reaction will not work really well since the temperature are over 45 degrees. Also, recording from the graph, the test tube 3 (45 degrees) spent less time to complete the process and the test tube 4 (60 degrees) spent more time to turn the colour of the liquid into light pink and the process/ reaction didnââ¬â¢t complete in the end. As well, the information shown at the website of the University of Maryland Medical Centre displayed that the protein structure of the enzyme will denatured by the high temperature and the enzyme is deactivated and the molecule is lose its shape when the temperature is over 45 degrees. University of Maryland Medical Center, 2009). As the result, when the temperature increase from zero degrees to 45 degrees, the time taken for the reaction will decrease, but the reaction starts slow down since the temperature is reach and over 45 degrees. How Womens Heart Attack Symptoms Differ from Mens
How Women's Heart Attack Symptoms Differ from Men's Research by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) indicates that women often experience new or different physical symptoms as long as a month or more before experiencing heart attacks. Among the 515 women studied, 95% said they knew their symptoms were new or different a month or more before experiencing their heart attack, or Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI). The symptoms most commonly reported were unusual fatigue (70.6%), sleep disturbance (47.8%), and shortness of breath (42.1%). Many women never had chest pains Surprisingly, fewer than 30% reported having chest pain or discomfort prior to their heart attacks, and 43% reported have no chest pain during any phase of the attack. Most doctors, however, continue to consider chest pain as the most important heart attack symptom in both women and men. The 2003 NIH study, titled Womens Early Warning Symptoms of AMI, is one of the first to investigate womens experience with heart attacks, and how this experience differs from mens. Recognition of symptoms that provide an early indication of heart attack, either imminently or in the near future, is critical to forestalling or preventing the disease. In a NIH press release, Jean McSweeney, PhD, RN, Principal Investigator of the study at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, said, Symptoms such as indigestion, sleep disturbances, or weakness in the arms, which many of us experience on a daily basis, were recognized by many women in the study as warning signals for AMI. Because there was considerable variability in the frequency and severity of symptoms, she added, we need to know at what point these symptoms help us predict a cardiac event. Womens symptoms not as predictable According to Patricia A.Grady, PhD, RN, Director of the NINR: Increasingly, it is evident that womens symptoms are not as predictable as mens. This study offers hope that both women and clinicians will realize the wide range of symptoms that can indicate heart attack. It is important not to miss the earliest possible opportunity to prevent or ease AMI, which is the number one cause of death in both women and men. The womens major symptoms prior to their heart attack included: Unusual fatigue - 70%Sleep disturbance - 48%Shortness of breath - 42%Indigestion - 39%Anxiety - 35% Major symptoms during the heart attack include: Shortness of breath - 58%Weakness - 55%Unusual fatigue - 43%Cold sweat - 39%Dizziness - 39% Related NIH research into heart attacks in women includes possible ethnic and racial differences.

Why online classes better then regular classes Essay
Why online classes better then regular classes - Essay Example The capabilities of the Internet are astounding, and have prompted others to discover additional methods in which they can harness the power of this limitless cyberworld. One of the newer technologies developed is online education, which allows people in any level of schooling, from elementary to graduate school, to obtain their diploma or degree solely online. Though many people still prefer traditional in-person classroom education, online classes have proven to have their perks, all of which provide students with the freedom they need to achieve their educational goals. One of the primary reasons that students choose to attend online classes as opposed to in-person classes is due to the flexible schedules that online schools offer. Prior to online education, obtaining oneââ¬â¢s college degree was difficult since people were unable to find time for school in their busy schedules of work, family, and other responsibilities. College or post-graduate education was just a dream that would have to be tended to when they found more time. Online schooling fixes this by giving students the option to do their coursework around their own schedule instead trying to complete their other responsibilities around the expectations of school. ... fast learners and easily become bored due to a slow pace of learning in their classroom; others prefer to learn at a slower pace and are overwhelmed when they are expected to learn something new when they are still attempting to understand the last lesson. Either way, if a student is bored or if they cannot keep up with the class, their education can become jeopardized. The concept of pace differing with each student is the reason why many online schools have appeared that cater to students in elementary, middle, and high schools, when education is vital. When primary school students feel more confident about their regular education, they are more likely to seek further education. Similarly, online classes allow students to get the attention and instruction that they require to successfully complete their education. In a regular classroom, the teacher has to divide their attention to accommodate the needs of every student. This is difficult as each student needs something different, and there is not enough time for the teacher to tend to every need. As a result, many students suffer academically. Online schooling has two answers to this issue: either smaller class sizes or one-on-one instruction. For most online colleges, the classes are small enough so that teachers can afford the time to focus on the needs of each individual student (Larreamendy & Leinhardt 577). In primary school programs, one-on-one instruction is available, allowing the student to claim the undivided attention of the instructor. Students are able to get the help they need when they need it. Another perk of attending online classes, which is one of the most beneficial, is the difference in environment between a regular class and an online class. The environment of regular classrooms is one of

Police Chief William Bratton and his Transformational police Research Paper
Police Chief William Bratton and his Transformational police leadership style - Research Paper Example job following supposed personal difference with Giuliani and later in 2002; he worked as a private consultant with Kroll associates also known as LAPDââ¬â¢s. In 2007, the Los Angeles commissioner allotted him to a second five-year term (Bratton, 2011). Bratton rose speedily all the way through the ranks of the Boston police department, where he cleaned up the cityââ¬â¢s subways and pioneered community policing. He cracked down on slight offenses when he became New Yorkââ¬â¢s transit police, like turnstile jumping on the assumption that the people who commit severe crime subversive also commit minor crimes. When Bratton realized his dream of being the America top cop, he made sure that there was a 10 percent drop in crime rate (Bratton & Knobler, 2011). Bratton and his friends used computer mapping to locate crime hidings and then cleaned up the areas by means of law enforcement. Tools such as ââ¬Ëquality of life enforcementââ¬â¢ were used to curtail minor crimes like prostitution, panhandling and squeegeeing in order to create the streets less tempting to bad criminals. He made all districts police commander answerable ââ¬â they were to report problems and progress in their locales during departmental meetings. In 1994 William Bratton took over, disorder and crime were so high such that it appeared a city out of power. In America, the rate of crime was higher than anything else in 1980s was. He recalls that the atmosphere was in disorder, decayed and criminality greeted him when he was appointed as the head cityââ¬â¢s transit police. NYPD too was in a state of confusion and inefficiency. So many lazy people, corrupt, ineffective staff who were demotivated and unaccountable, surrounded it. This department was confused due to valiant and unsuccessful hard work of Bratton predecessors to introduce policing into all day functioning practices. What Bratton needed was a huge shake up of attitude, accountabilities, leadership inspirational and direction sense, which he gave all

Heart Failure Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Heart Failure - Essay Example es the fact that as a disease, heart failure claims more peopleââ¬â¢s life than the diseases like AIDS and Cancer combined and by 2020, heart disease will be the principal grounds of death all over the world. (The Hearth foundation, 2014) Heart failure is a medical condition categorized by complete perfusion insufficient to encounter bodys metabolic strains as a result of reduced cardiac pump task. The process of heart failure can be split into systolic or diastolic heart failure. In case of systolic heart failure, there is reduced cardiac contractility and in diastolic heart failure there is reduced cardiac lessening along with abnormal ventricular filling to go with it. (Hobbs & Boyle, 2010) The indications of heart failure can differ from person to person. The key signs are breathlessness, great tiredness, and ankle enlargement, which may spread up the legs. All these are the main or the basic symptoms associated with heart failure, apart from above mentioned ones, certain other indicators are a persistent cough, lack of appetite, profuse and sudden weight loss and tachycardia which is in common term known as rapid heart rate. (NHS, nd) Circumstances that harm or overload the heart muscle can be the cause of heart failure. Over the time, as the age of any individual increases the heart weakens. It used to lose its ability to fill with and/or propel blood as well as it used to do earlier. As the condition of heart started to weaken, certain proteins and substances are released into the blood. These materials have a lethal consequence on the heart as well as in the blood flow, and this resultant into heart failure. The common cause of heart disease are Coronary heart disease (CHD); High Blood Pressure, presence of diabetes etc. If proper care can be given to ensure the treatment of these entire then one can prevent or reduce the chances of heart attack. Marketing For Chanel And Ports
Marketing For Chanel And Ports Chanel, one of the most premier luxury product company (Thorogood, ND) that is from France, was established by Gabrielle Chanel who was the most influential designer of the twentieth century (Chanelworld, 2006) in 1910. The design style of Chanel inclines toward unadorned to instead of gorgeous (Yournewfragrance, 2010). The first design of Gabrielle was hats which were sold to fashionable mistresses in a meeting. It was an opportunity that making numerous fashionable noblewomen know her products. Except for hats, costume, jewelry, perfume and textile were devised for women (Womenshistory, 2010). 1.1.2 Ports Figure 2 the symbol of Ports (Imgsrc, nd) I make clothes for a woman who is intelligent: a woman who is doesnt want to wear things that will distract from her Luke Tanabe (PORTS founder) Ports was founded by Luke Tanabe in Canada in 1961. He dreamed of establishing company about luxury clothes in virtue of the social reform which led to the design style of clothes to be transformed radically (Ports-intl, 2010a). His first design was the NO.10 blouse which inaugurated the new fashion epoch. The blouse was popular in Canada, the UK, and Australia because of plain and exquisite tailoring (Ports-intl, 2010a). 1.2 Theory 1.2.1 Market Mix Marketing Mix is that element of a firms marketing strategies which are designed to meet the needs of its customers, including product, price, place and promotion (Hall et all, 2008:p75). It means that companies must use reasonable prices and complete promotions to sell correct products in the right places (Hall et all, 2008:p75) 1.2.2 Market Segmentation Market segmentation means that companies stand on marketing research to confirm and classify the purchasers which have parallel needs, embracing geographically, demographically, psychographically, and behaviourally. (Hall et all, 2008:p66) 1.3 Aims According to Cnga.org (2009), China will become the third biggest market of luxury during 5 years. Therefore, in this report, Chanel and Ports are analysed about the Market Mix and the demographics of Market segmentation in China. Furthermore, aspects of these two companies are compared and contrasted. Finally, there are the conclusion and recommendations to Chanel and Ports. Findings 2.1 Market Mix 2.1.1 Product 2.1.1.1 Chanel Product is one of factors in Marketing Mix. Chanel offers fashionable, luxurious and stylish products (935.ibm, 2002); and further, the materials of Chanels apparels and leathers are admired by consumers on account of retaining the stuff stronger (Yournewfragrance, 2010). What is more, Chanel sternly restrains the design, manufacture, consignment, and commercial to promise the best criterion of the product (935.ibm, 2002). 2.1.1.2 Ports The attires of Ports, which are use the best fabric from Italy, are celebrated because of shirts (Ftchinese, 2007), such as the plain and exquisite NO.10 blouse. Moreover, the packaging is one of the best methods to show the products for companies. The colour of Portss shopping paper bag was changed black into brown which is Portss symbol. 2.1.2 Price 2.1.2.1 Chanel Price is another aspect for Market Mix. The price of Chanel must far higher than other ordinary similar companies owing to two premier causes. For one thing, Chanel is an international luxury brand so that its material is quality and the careful tailoring which is second reason. For example, According to Ib100 (2008), a shirt of Chanel is sold approximately RMB 2,600 in China; however the shirt of Ports is sold RMB 1,799 (Ports-intl, 2010b). 2.1.2.2 Ports The prices of Portss merchandises are reasonable when compared to other luxury brands. According to (Ports-intl, 2010c), the prices of shirts are between RMB 1,100 and 2,000 in China, however, the prices are 30%-50% lower than other luxury companies for similar quality and style, which can encourage consumers to spend. (Blog.sina, 2009) 2.1.3 Place 2.1.3.1 Chanel The place is the third part in the Marketing Mix. Cn.chanel (nd) shows that there are 17 Chanel boutiques to be managed in China, and most of them are located in upscale shopping centers or in stores that have numerous purchasers. Major airports also have Chanel boutiques. In addition, Chanel plans to sell its products on the Internet. 2.1.3.2 Ports Ftchinese (2007) report that Ports has 370 stores all over the world; nevertheless, approximately 82% of its stores are built in major cities of China because the Chinese are its favorite customers, such as Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen ( Portsdesign, 2005: P4). Furthermore, these stores are located in large shopping centers with a heavy flow of consumer traffic. Finally, products of Ports also are sold on the Internet (Ports-intl, 2010d). 2.1.4 Promotion 2.1.4.1 Chanel The last element is promotion, which can help companies sell their products. There are two different promotional measures of Chanel. First of all, the attire of Chanel is demonstrated in movies (Womenshistory, 2010). Apart from movies, famous actors are invited to occupy spokesmodels, such as Nicole Kidman who can make the products become classical (Yournewfragrance, 2010). 2.1.4.2 Ports There are three different manners to be used by Ports. To begin with, Ports is one of the largest advertisers in the PRC that is a fashion magazineà ¯Ã ¼Ãâ Portsdesign, 2005:p9). Secondly, the clothes were worn in movies, such as The Devil Wears Prada. Thirdly, it is the best manner that Ports contribute RMB500, 000 to Chinese Red Cross because of Wenchuan earthquake in 2008. It not only helps victims, but can also increase the image of Ports. 2.2 Market Segmentation The primary aspect of Marketing Segmentation is demographics which will be introduced, comprising six parts, such as age, income, gender, social class, religion and ethnic grouping (Hall et all, 2008:p67-69) 2.2.1 Chanel Chanel stands on gender, income and lifestyle to segment its market. To start with, the feminine products are the most important orientation for Chanel, although Karl Lagerfeld, the head designer of Chanel after Gabrielle Chanel, began to design the merchandise for males in 1981 (Yournewfragrance, 2010). Besides, most of consumers are gentlewomen who do not need to possess vocations and always attend different banquets which are their lifestyles; hence Chanel has no misgivings about the social class of its consumers, and it barely attaches importance to the income because the cost of Chanel is high. Luxuryinstitute (2007) shows, consumers of Chanel have an income above RMB 2,002,000. 2.2.2 Ports Market segmentations, such as age, income, lifestyle and social class, are used by Ports to decide the scope of purchasers. Above all, the audiences of ports aged between 25 and 45 (Portsdesign, 2005:p5), thus Ports does not produce the apparels of children or elderly humans, and it merely designs for adults which are its orientation. The income, lifestyle and social class are, moreover, the main aspects to classify the consumers.
